Build Custom Integrations with Webhooks

Setting up webhooks is straightforward. Log into your Dialbox dashboard, navigate to the Integrations section, and select Webhooks. Enter your endpoint URL, select which events you want to receive, and save. We'll immediately start sending events to your endpoint.

All webhook payloads are delivered as JSON. Each payload includes the event type, timestamp, and relevant data for that event. For example, a call completion event includes the caller's phone number, call duration, transcript, and any data collected during the call.

Yes! Dialbox provides a webhook testing feature in your dashboard. You can send test events to your endpoint to verify your integration is working correctly before enabling live webhooks. We also provide sample payloads for each event type.

Dialbox webhooks can be triggered by a variety of events including: new incoming calls, completed calls with transcripts, new voicemail messages, scheduled appointments, cancelled appointments, and more. You can configure which events you want to receive notifications for in your Dialbox dashboard.

Every webhook request from Dialbox includes a signature header that you can use to verify authenticity. We provide your unique webhook secret in the dashboard, and you can use it to validate the HMAC-SHA256 signature included with each request. This ensures that the webhooks you receive are genuinely from Dialbox.

Dialbox implements automatic retry logic for failed webhook deliveries. If your endpoint returns a non-2xx status code or times out, we'll retry the delivery with exponential backoff. We attempt delivery up to 5 times over a 24-hour period, giving you time to resolve any temporary issues with your receiving system.
